Adoption

Children are at a constant risk to the threats of a cruel and violent environment due to their tender age and weak physical attributes. Given that they are often the victims of abandonment, abuse, and exploitation, it is the community’s role to provide them with special protection and ensure that they will grow up healthy individuals and eventually become productive citizens that can contribute to the country’s development. The Philippines, since its commitment to the Convention on the Rights of a Child has developed several action plans to address the rights to survival, protection, development, and participation being the pillars for a child’s rights. Thru the initiative of our government with its laws, issuances and programs supporting this commitment since 1990, as well as the strong partnership with different social welfare agencies promoting and providing different programs to children as the roadmap to securing their welfare and interest towards their future.
